For the first time in Ukraine in the company of The Chimney Pot Kiev was installed a full set of equipment for scanning and color correction that meets all modern requirements of film making.
The necessity for such equipment in Ukraine, was a long time and for several years was actively discussed among professionals. Shooting on the film advertising, clips, as well as the revival of cinema in our country demanded a full cycle of modern production. Until recently finished shooting film material for developing, scanning, color correction, etc. was sanded to the near or far abroad, which led not only to the additional costs, but also not allowed to promptly obtain and evaluate the quality of the finished film, and this greatly complicates the manufacturing process and significantly reduces its effectiveness.
Now, The Chimney Pot Kiev company, digitized film via Thomson Spirit DataCine highly productive scanner with a complete set of essential accessories, which allows real-time scan and pre-process the image from the negative, positive and inter-positive films 35 and 16 mm. Scanner is running and controlled by DaVinci color correction systems as a single complex and provides a complete video processing cycle in real time. Then the video is recorded in standard definition, such as Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, DVCAM or on DVD.
Installation work was carried out with the technical support and direct participation of the company Comtel - system integrator and exclusive Thomson distributor in Ukraine.
